This is what we believe at MSD of New Durham Township, and it is this vision that drives our focus and establishes the foundation of our learning community every single day.  We strive to create a positive, caring, and supportive learning environment for all within the walls of our school, and we hope that the spirit of that environment follows our students as they pass through our doors into the world.

Purple Star School Program
The MSD of New Durham Board of Trustees adopted a resolution on June 11, 2025 in support of Military Families. 

The Indiana Purple Star School designation is given to schools that display a commitment to military service members, veterans, and their families.

MSD of New Durham supports students, alumni, employees, and families of community members who are connected with the United States military.

2026-2027 District Calendar

The Westville School Board has officially approved the 2026–2027 Academic Calendar.
The calendar was developed with a continued focus on maximizing instructional time for students while balancing professional development, family needs, and potential weather-related considerations. As always, in-person learning remains our priority, with flexibility built in to address unforeseen circumstances.
Families and staff are encouraged to review the full calendar to note:

  • First and last days of school

  • Scheduled breaks and holidays

  • Professional development days

  • Inclement weather make-up considerations

The approved 2026–2027 Academic Calendar is now available on the district website for planning purposes.
